Hello and welcome to my site.

I worked as a Fire Fighter for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service for three years and soon noticed that there was a distinct lack of qualified chimney sweeps in my local area. Learning first hand what damage chimney fires can cause to properties and personal belongings and wanting to do my best to help my community to stay aware and safe, I decided to go to Maidstone in Kent to train with the Institute of Chimney Sweeps  ICS). I have been busy sweeping chimneys for the past four years which has been a great career move and I thoroughly enjoy my work, meeting new people and doing my best to keep people feeling safe with their fires.

I provide a clean, tidy and friendly service and do my best not to disappoint. I am based in Newton Flotman near Norwich, Norfolk of which I can travel approximately a 40 mile radius, although I will always consider travelling a little further.

I sweep my chimneys in the traditional way with brushes, followed by a thorough vacuum clean. Many other sweeps are now using power sweep methods which I have been told can be very abrasive for flexible wood burner liners or older chimneys, so not recommended for older properties, (but they are perfectly fine for some chimneys). I sweep wood/multi-fuel burning stoves, open fires, ray burns etc. and I provide certificates with every job.  For flexible liners I use flexible rods to ensure no damage is done.  I also provide a smoke draw test to make sure you have a nice flow through your chimney.

I am fully insured and offer a no obligation, free quotation – I am also very happy to give out advice or answer any concerns over the phone.  My rates are very competitive and I offer a reduction in price for multiple bookings. I have a lot of contacts in the installation side of things that I would be more than happy to pass on details for.
